All our members have studied this dance for many years and perform as soloists in addition to working for our group. By bringing together talented dancers we can ensure a constantly high standard of performance and a depth of knowledge and experience. We love to dance together and this is reflected in our confident performance style.

Mersin are available for performances of between 30 and 60 minutes. Fees are available on application and are based on a minimum 30 minutes of performance time. For this the hirer can expect a group of dancers who will perform a mix of group and solo numbers. Payment of a deposit of £50 payable by cheque must be made 7 days before the event, with the remainder paid prior to performance.

All performances are suitable for family entertainment including children. They do not perform for male only audiences.

The Hirer must provide:

Direction to the venue

a secure changing area, not shared with other performers;

a safe dance area;

suitable sound system (to play from iPod or CD)

public liability insurance,

details of parking arrangements.

Hirers can choose our costume to suit their event. Weddings and corporate events tend to prefer the very expensive and glamorous costumes, while our Rainbow costumes are very popular for family events or anything taking place out doors. We can also offer the purple costume which work better when we need to be more covered, perhaps for school events or family fun days, or cultural events tend to like the more folkloric style. Mersin will expect to perform at the time agreed, their charge will start at that time. Should the performance be cancelled the hirer will loose the deposit.

Mersin cannot perform for no fee, even for a charity event. Should you wish us to donate our fee to your charity, please contact us direct. We retain the right to provide a smaller group, or less experienced dancers for charity events.

Mersin can provide a sample dance lesson, and history talk or the opportunity for the audience to have a go and dance with the performers - all by prior arrangement. This is a very popular option and one that we highly recommend !
